Once, during the Christmas vacations in winter, my mom made me wake up from my little tiny bed so early. That I asked,“Why are you so eager to wake me up from my bed so early?” I asked this because it was only 5:30 am. And my mom replied, “Today is December 24th. We have to get ready for our Christmas.”
For our Christmas celebrations, we did lots of things like;
(a) We decorated a Christmas tree with balls, bells and small stars,
(b) Like every house in our area, we too kept star at the top of my house.
(c) We do keep a light in the star so that the star gets a life.
(d) We also kept the crib in our house with all statues except baby Jesus.
When it was nearly 7'0 clock in the morning, my mom told me “If you help me prepare everything for tomorrow, I'll tell you a secret”. I was so eager to hear my mom's secret so I helped her a lot in kitchen, in the garden for making decoration items like gift wrappers, small stars to hang in the Christmas tree. My mom made many small gift boxes, covered them with gift wrappers and hang them on our Christmas tree. It was so sweet.
After it was 8'o clock at night, my father came from office and we were busy in arranging for the supper. At last we had the supper. Now it was 9:45 so we dressed to go to the Christmas mass. Normally we won't go to any masses at night but we went to this mass because it was special. It was so great going to the church at night.
When we reach at the church I saw that the Jesus was not born at the crib yet because it was only 11 'o clock .Soon it became 12 pm and Jesus was born at the crib. It was a long ceremony but I was so exited to see it for the first time. Then I saw the curtain slowly being pushed up and the little tiny Jesus was born. But actually I think you all are waiting for hearing my mom's secret. Ok then let's go to my mom's secret come on…
It was 3 'o clock when we reach home from church at night and I was so eager to know the secret. But my mother was so sleepy. So I couldn't ask her about and now I waiting for tomorrow. On every Christmas day I would get a gift from the Santa father. So I was dreaming about the secret and the gift from the Santa. So, guy's, …good night…
Good morning! Do want to know my present from Santa this year?
This year I got a nice Barbie doll and I was so happy with what I got and my sister got a nice Winx Club toy. We were so happy and we played with them together.
Every year I would think, “Why does Santa come only to my house and giving gifts? When my friend Winnie and even my cousins don’t get any gifts then why only I am getting them every year?
Even last year, I asked my father why I am getting a gift not anyone else. My father would reply, “Dear child, if you are a good girl or do good things Santa offers you a gift. One year if you didn’t get a gift from Santa on a Christmas night it says that on that particular year Santa didn’t like you.”
So every year on the Christmas day I am very curious to know that I was good girl this year or not. Now I was playing with my Barbie doll and my sister with Winx Club. We were very happy on that Christmas day. We went to show our toys to our mom. She was so happy because she saw us playing together with Santa's gifts.
After a wile I went and asked my mother, “Have you ever seen Santa coming and giving the gift to me? I asked you many times to wake me up when Santa came. But you won’t listen. When he is here, I want to tell thanks to him because he is giving gifts only to me. Winny is not getting, my cousins are not getting, so I have to say thanks and also tell him please give Winny and all of them presents.
Mummy replied, “All these years you were getting the gift. But it's not from Santa! Every year it is your dad alone who puts the gifts on the Christmas tree during the night to see the happiness your and sister’s face. Santa doesn't offer gifts to any of the children! It's just a belief, because Santa loves children a lot.
Yes I love Santa very much. Even though mom told me a big secret I don't want to believe it and again I'm going to wait for Santa to bring me more surprising gifts. Still I'm waiting to get more and more Christmas gift from Santa because he loves me and also because Santa doesn't know that mom told me this secret.
